Company activities and impact

Secured and delivered emotional health and wellbeing grants to deliver therapeutic interventions to children outside of the clusters that we usually deliver to. This enabled several families to have the help of an Occupational Therapist, some counselling for a few young people, some therapy for a few children and some training on sensory processing for our counselling team, and the purchasing of some resources. Secured and waiting to commence delivering three grants to provide counselling to GP clusters of surgeries in 3 medical clusters in Swansea. Given short-time contracts to deliver the above counselling grants to several self-employed therapists. Secured and successfully delivered a short-term contract, for the Cwmtawe Medical cluster in Swansea, to deliver a - “Mental health Triage Practitioner” Pilot Project. Its aims were to focus on early intervention, offer a triaging role, provide support for individuals that fall outside of the remit of statutory services, and provide support for individuals who have been discharged from the community mental health team back to primary care. Secured and soon to deliver a Community Well Being Therapeutic Craft project, in the Swansea Cwmtawe community, for 18 children and families identified as struggling with emotional difficulties, to improve their family relationships, confidence and general mental health. Produced a promotional leaflet and a website.Attained a volunteer to both deliver our promotional material and share mental health information to the community, through social media e.g., establishing a Facebook page. Created all the paperwork for our company, established roles and responsibilities and put effective systems in place for good communication. Held monthly/bimonthly, minuted meetings with all Directors to develop and organize our company activities.

Consultation with stakeholders

We consulted with the following grant providers, whom are the stakeholders for the community regarding mental health provision, through: Completing and submitting their application forms and detailing each project we were bidding for. On completion of each project, we were/will be (some are ongoing) required to complete an outcome report to each provider explaining how we have met the criteria in each bid. The process is rigorous and transparent. Monthly data outcomes are shared with SCVS and surgery managers who monitor the projects we have/are delivering. Regular communication with practice managers at surgeries, via Zoom and email, and attending face-to-face meetings. Regular attendance at the Cwmtawe CIC meetings where we have discussed the work. Swansea Council 3rd Sector CYP Emotional Health & Wellbeing Grant - £1000 to deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people not currently able to access help. 3 counseling grants – organised through Swansea Council for Voluntary Service - On behalf of the Bay/Cwmtawe and Llwchwr Medical Cluster of GP surgeries.
