The company has supported the local community to improve the energy performance of buildings providing fully funded energy audits, low cost abatement measures and helping to support community members who are experiencing fuel poverty.- We have created 2 employment opportunities for local residents.- Our energy advice service has provided meaningful support to 10 residents. Reducing energy consumption by 10,000 KWh and associated carbon emissions of over 2 tonnes CO2e.The company also continues to work towards the development of an innovative new clean and affordable heat and power system for the community.
The company’s stakeholders are residents of and visitors to Birch Vale, High Peak, Derbyshire. The directors of the company have lived and worked in the area for a number of years and developed the business model for the new energy system based on their experience of talking to other residents.As part of our feasibility study, conducted in 2021 we held a number of community events to gather information, thoughts and aspirations from across the community that has helped us shape our organisation. We are currently reaching out to members of the community to join the organisation at board level and have several events planned as part of our development phase project.
