Basis of preparation |

The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). |

During the year, Miss R Bains provided management services for the property, for which she was paid £6,240. These amounts are included as part of the relevant costs in the Profit and Loss account. |

Before the beginning of each year, an estimate is prepared detailing what amounts we consider will be needed to provide the services to Alexandra Apartments. Service charge demands to Leaseholders are prepared on the basis of this estimate. Shortly after the end of the year, an account of what has actually been spent and set aside for reserves is produced. At the end of 2021 this account shows we have spent £650 less than that estimated, resulting in a surplus on the account to be refunded to Leaseholders. |
