Company activities and impact

Calm Connections offers support to families to strengthen their relationships and providing support for parents/guardians of children and young people with mental health or wellbeing challenges. Calm Connections was registered in January 2018. During the financial year of 2020-2021, the company has offered families:Parent support groups Workshops and ProgrammesFamily Coaching support with familiesRESET 2021 event, with 180 attendees, 27 CYP mental health services and an exhibition of experiences from young people.. Representatives on 6 mental health and Wellbeing boards across Trafford, Greater Manchester and NationallyEstablished Peer Mentor and volunteer programme supporting families.Currently working with 120 families

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are families who use our service, volunteers and others who help us provide our services.We engage stakeholders in consultation via surveys and polls, social media pages and face to face conversations and feedback forms. We use this feedback to shape our offer and decide on priority areas.The boards we sit on also provide the opportunity to consult with other services, providing informed decisions from the wider community perspective.We ask all families (parents, carers and children) who attend workshops to complete feedback and we have used their information to ensure our services meet their needs.
