The Company maintains the website partykitnetwork.org, an online directory connecting thoseplanning a party with party kit lenders. The directory makes it easier for more people to accessreusable tableware locally and avoid unnecessary waste from single-use items such asdifficult-to-recycle disposable plates. Avoiding single-use items makes parties moresustainable by reducing waste and the loss of precious resources to landfill. The website wasfirst launched in 2019.The Company operates a single party kit with income directly funding the Company. All otherparty kits are run independently by Members who have registered with the Network and theCompany does not have operational responsibility for these party kits. The party kits arepredominately based in the UK and Australia, with a handful of kits in USA, New Zealand,Republic of Ireland and more.During the financial year 2022-2023 the Company’s activities have benefited the community inthe following ways:- Improved the accessibility of reusable tableware by adding 143 new Memberregistrations. An increase of 8% YoY.- The Company supported Members to lend their party kits avoiding the waste from over290,000 single-use items such as disposable plates, cups, bowls and cutlery (based onthe responses from 167 Members). An increase of 3.5% YoY.- Directly enabled party organisers to avoid 10,456 single-use items through hires of thesingle party kit operated by the Company in Winchester UK. An increase of 70% YoY.- There were 468 downloads of our free ‘Get Started’ guide which aims to inspire andsupport more people to set up party kits for their area.- Directly facilitated 1,352 booking enquiries via the online enquiry form available onparty kit listings. An increase of 30% YoY.- Indirectly supported a range of registered charities, school PTAs and local communityprojects as approx. 35% of party kits which charge for hires donate all or part of theirincome. (based the responses from 242 Members, 2021)- Increased awareness of the party kit concept through social media and partnerships
The Company’s core stakeholders are Members of the Party Kit Network. Members are thosewho run party kits for their local community and have registered with us. Two members arealso on the Company's Board of Directors to ensure Members are always represented in keydecisions.The Company runs an active Facebook group community facilitating regular interactionbetween the Company and Members which helps us to better understand the needs of ourMembers and those looking to join. There are currently 1,383 Members in the group of which1,065 were actively engaged with the group over the last 28 days. We have run surveys viathe group in order to help inform our decision making, such as fundraising ideas or ourstrategy for setting up a public liability scheme, and responded to requests such as providingbooking management spreadsheet templates.The Company ran a Member Needs Survey in February 2023 which 52 Members participatedhelping to prioritise future website development plans.The Company runs an Annual Audit each July giving registered Members an opportunity toupdate us on the success of their party kit and feedback on how the Party Kit Network couldfurther support Members. A total of 167 Members participated in the 2023 Annual Audit (28%of the Network).The Company’s secondary stakeholders are those planning a party who have used our online directory to find and contact their local kit. This year we have consulted with thesestakeholders on a reactionary basis, either to resolve issues or answer queries.
