    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Government grantsGrants are recognised as receivable at their fair value when there is reasonable assurance that the grant will be received and the company will comply with all the attached conditions. Grants receivable are recognised as income over the periods necessary to match them with the related costs which they are intended to compensate, on a systematic basis. Grants relating to expenses are shown separately as other income.

Company activities and impact

We have been set up to deliver community theatre activity and participation which involves deprived and hard-to-reach communities. In the past year we have been doing a project helping the community to process grief and loss in the aftermath of Covid. We have offered free workshops around processing grief in 2022. This year has still been focused on organisational and company development to support, in particular, the aims and objectives of this project, entitled “100 Ways to Say Goodbye” - Facilitating communities to process loss, mourn collectively.

Consultation with stakeholders

We have done ongoing consultation with the following stakeholders as part of this project:Shine Cancer Charity for young people living with cancerA number of community funeral celebrantsArt Council EnglandPeople attending Brassbathtub workshopsArtists benefiting from Brass Bathtub supportIn response to their feedback, we have run a DEI training with Aspire Consultancy. We have welcomed a new temporary Co-director who is a DEI specialist and have helped us to shape our policies and processes to make them more inclusive.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid to directors in respect of qualifying services was £4,900.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office which require to be disclosed.
