GL4 CIC bring creativity to the heart of the Matson estate to raise aspirations of residents,increase wellbeing, local connections, and a feeling of pride. We want our local community to have the same opportunities as people in other areas and connect with others through the positive impact of the arts. By hosting high quality performances on a pay what you like basis, we are bringing people into a community space, giving opportunities for them to be sociable, make them laugh, feel connected, feel pride in their local area and realise that theatre and arts can be relevant to their lives. We have delivered 8 projects of high-quality dance and theatre in community venues across the estate, all these projects were pay what you can. We provided weekly youth music, drama and dance sessions for young people aged 8+ with the aim of increasing engagement. We Delivered 5 adult craft classes and 1 family craft class engaging with 147 people and engaged with 341 children at a Santa’s grotto and provided a 3 course Christmas meal for 80 elderly residents
Our stakeholders are community members and young people we work and engage with. Consultation is done through events, sessions and feedback received as to what the community and young people want to see on the estate
