The company conducts activities including by identifying, researching and raising awareness of local issues in planning and development. In particular this relates to the environmental, noise and traffic impacts of commercial and industrial developments in residential areas and near civic buildings including schools, libraries, parks, hospitals and care homes.
The company’s stakeholders are residents, schools, public buildings and businesses affected by the development of local fulfilment centres. In particular these are stakeholders features inthe case studies in the forthcoming research report on this (including developments in the Bush Estate in Tufnell Park and Spring Place in Kentish Town).These stakeholders are concerned about safeguarding their communities from inappropriate developments in urban areas along with the negative health, poor air quality and pollution and climate impacts of such developments.The company will also seek to engage stakeholders involved in local planning to disseminate the learnings from the report, raising awareness for best practice relating to the appropriate locations for new fulfilment centres and the need for full transparency, impact assessments and consultation with the community in any such developments.
