Company activities and impact

The company continues to run The Lioness Circle, a specialist 'by & for' 'Aftercare' support service, that informs and empowers women and girls survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, particularly those born of the African and Caribbean heritage.The company ran a series of hybrid weekly empowerment workshop at the Lioness Circle, funded by Rosa UK. These sessions catered for up to 15 female Survivors of domestic abuse.Local police officers, and with the Lionesses consent, attended one of our group sessions to discuss the new Violence Against Women and Girls Action planThe company secured another small pot of funding from Croydon Council to contribute to Lionesses (Service Users) who were facing financial difficulties. Our crowdfunding platform raised another £700 in total. Lionesses continue to brainstorm fundraising activities e.g. sponsored swimThe company continues to receive an influx of new Referrals from individuals and established services. However due to the lack of resources and the impact from the increase in the cost of living, we continue to operate a waiting list for new referrals.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company has continued to have regular written and verbal consultation with its beneficiaries in the usual format of feedback forms, discussion groups and one to one sessions. Everything we do is led by feedback from our beneficiaries and upcoming trends.
