In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Hong Kong Nursing Association UK (HKNAUK) was formed in March 2021, by a group of Hong Kong nurses who are living and working in the UK. The establishment of HKNAUK can help us connect all the nurses from Hong Kong who have been working in the UK or planning to come shortly and provide them pastoral care. During the financial year 2022-2023, our activities have benefited the community in the following ways:We have over 700 registered official members.We helped the NHS to recruit over 100 health care workers and nurses by conducting a direct engagement meeting and recruitment webinar.Members can get the updated and relevant information about the industry, as well as learning the cultural differences in the UK by the following activities.We held some supporting virtual sessions to allow members to share their difficulties in live and work.We held a couple of sharing sessions including job application and interview skill, nursing competency test skill and tips, as well as nursing specialties introduction and job description.We held a gathering event at the December Christmas party in Birmingham in order to allow the members to meet new friends in their local area.We launched our YouTube channel for Hong Konger to share some health related topics and the health care system. We provided health care talk, our volunteers provided simple body checks including blood pressure and blood glucose measurement, as well as simple health enquiries for the Hong Konger.
Our stakeholders are Hong Kong Nurses, Hong Konger living in the UK, NHS, NMC, as well as our committee members.We have set up a short survey regularly in Facebook page, using monthly free talk sessions and AGM to asking our members opinion such as gathering location, how many of them stuck in NMC registration and their difficulties, as well as anything we can provide to help them living and working in the UK. Via membership, we have sent the membership update form annually to build up a profile of their registration, living and working status which can help us to make a plan in the future.We have regularly meeting with NHS England and NMC to exchange information and ideas.We have monthly committee meeting and Whatspp group to connect among committee members. We use these planforms to discuss issue, solving problem and making plan.We have a Youtube channel to deliver our education and message. We provided simple health enquiries and consultation in some events for the general Hong Kongers who is living in the UK.
