The company intends to deliver wellbeing and mindfulness activities and create resources for use in the home environment. The company is also well placed to offer environmental education activities for both children and adults. During the financial year of 2021-2022, activities to benefit the community so far have been preliminary:- identifying possible funding streams through providers/brokerage services like ActionFunder and Neighbourly- designing, printing and distributing mindfulness prompt cards to drop around the community, promoting the CIC and encouraging residents to look after themselves- participating in training courses through Centre for Excellence, Support Staffordshire (VCSE support), and the MPFT's Wellbeing and Recovery College - building staff confidence and up-skilling
The company's stakeholders are residents of the Cannock Chase District and the Stafford Borough. The director of the company has lived and worked in this area for nearly 10 years and utilises their experience of public engagement and knowledge of the area's most deprived neighbourhoods to guide the work.The director attended a community engagement event at Rugeley Community Centre in August 2022, offered free wellbeing activities, and was able to discuss with a couple dozen young parents, carers and grandparents about what type of wellbeing activities suit them and what they would like see in the community.The director also created a Facebook page and is able to monitor what type of posts and activity get more engagement with local residents.
