For the year ending 28 February 2023 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

Company activities and impact

Kind Currency is the Home of Kind Living, providing a digital platform and events for people to drive social impact with their actions. We support, celebrate and reward citizens and business to take kind action. Changing the way we live, work, shop and play. Enabling us all to do a little bit to make a big difference. Turning our actions in to impact to ease the poverty and climate crisis.We have supported 300 small and independent businesses, social enterprises and charities, many of which are run by disadvantaged and unrepresented individuals. This support increased trade and profit, raised awareness and funds, grew collaborations and built relationships with new customers, donors and volunteers.The charities we supported predominantly focused on food & bed poverty, end of life and critical illness care, families living in deprivation, opportunities for disadvantaged children, access to employment for disadvantaged individuals and accessibility for the disabled community. We directly supported 20 families and 33 children of care workers, NHS workers, charity workers and frontline essential workers living in deprivation.We verified 60 businesses as KIND connecting them directly to conscious consumers.We engaged over 1000 citizens in acts of kindness via our platform but primarily via our events.We provided 5 young people with work experience as volunteers.We supported local services such as the city library. We reduced carbon emissions by 5779kg during one event.Supported two young people to set up as self-employed.
