Principal activities of the company

Protect Accent provides training in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Our area of expertise is accent biases and inclusion, some of our achievements include raising the level of awareness on accents-induced discrimination in organizations and the broader society. We organized various events including conferences, virtual events with the NHS, corporate organizations, and different communities locally, nationally, and globally including students, employers, and employees from all work of life. The launching of the Accent Charter in May 2021 was a pivotal event that brought people together from different parts of the world, the Accent Charter is a tool that empowers organizations to accept and include all accents in all forms and levels of organizational communication. The online and in-person accent bias training courses will empower both individuals and organizations to get to grips with non-familiar accents. Through the “World Accents Celebration Day” event on the 12th of October 2021, 2022, and 2023 in the city of Bradford and online, we have been able to reach many people in our local communities in Bradford City, the UK and globally including students, employers and employees from different disciplines, all work of life and different parts of the world. We worked with the University of Bradford, Bradford City Council, and the Nigerian Diplomatic Community in the UK for the inaugural “World Accents Day” on the 12th of January 2021, our impact has extended globally in empowering individuals to achieve their best by empowering them to own their voices and communicate in the most authentic manner. We have also organizations to create a conducive environment that will empower individuals to contribute their best, and feel valued, seen, and heard. This year (2023) we focused on leveraging the power of the media for good and to promote an accent-inclusive society and engaged with both TV and radio stations to achieve our objectives.
