Principal activities of the company

The company provides benefit to the LGBTQ+ community of Sandbach and the surrounding areas and its allies, by raising awareness and education of the public about the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender+ (LGBTQ+) people; by staging an annual LGBTQ+ festival and smaller events throughout the area and establishing support networks in the area for LGBTQ+ people.

Company activities and impact

The company was set up to acknowledge the diversity within the local community and address the difficulties LGBTQ+ people can experience in rural areas. The first Sandbach Pride, was held in September 2022, a family-friendly event, held in Sandbach park and enjoyed by many, with the support from the Town Council and local businesses. In addition, regular social meetings were arranged, together with fundraising events, including supporting the annual Santa Sleigh.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's stakeholders are members of the local LGBTQ+ community, their allies, local businesses and the town council, amongst others. We consult with stakeholders through social media and our events, including a post event feedback form. The valuable feedback is used to help us improve our events and ensure we are best supporting the local LGBTQ+ community.
