LILY'S SOCIAL KITCHEN CIC

Company Number: 11210362 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 28 February 2023

Company activities and impact

In this year we have taken on 8 young people through our supported internship programme and 15 people through our KCC contract/Direct Payments. We supported three people into paid employment and another 3 into work placements as part of their programme. We opened three new sites – One in Maidstone, One in Ashford and our production kitchen/office space was opened which has allowed us to diversify our offer to our beneficiaries and allowed us to grow the commercial arm of the business so we can be more sustainable. In Oct 22 in response to the Cost of Living Crisis – we moved all our cafes to being donation only as this would ensure we were accessible for everyone and keep our trainees learning and as busy as possible over what could be a challenging winter. Community fridge was opened in our Ashford site working with Singleton Parish Council.

Consultation with stakeholders

We hold quarterly trustee meetings which all operation staff feed into with reports/questions and access to the trustees. We undertake quarterly anonymous questionnaires to all our beneficiaries as well as 4-6 week reviews so we can check our service is high quality and ask for suggestions on how to make this better. In the next financial year we will be developing our peer to peer programme to further ensure people with lived experience of our programme are at the heart of what we do.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £35,183.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
