PathFinder is a student led initiative connecting non-target university students with opportunities. Its aim is to help break barriers with the aim of aiding their personal progression as well as building an inclusive & supportive community. During the 2022-2023 financial year, our activities have benefited the student community in the following ways:- Since starting, we initially launched a 6 week structured mentoring programme, pairing 30+ students with an interest in business/finance with a mentor in their field (interviews, CV and cover letter and assessment centre tips). We found that through this, 90%+ of our mentees felt more confident in their applications going forward, particularly in the areas they were not initially self confident in. - Our online initiative "Success Stories" showcases students from similar backgrounds who have gone on to achieve internships in competitive fields. This has again allowed them to 'dream big' and step out of their comfort zone. - The internal WhatsApp group chats for students are available to relay any queries and to have a supportive network of likeminded people and sharing of opportunities.
