POWERJAM COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 13863109 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 January 2023

Company activities and impact

As well as giving all our young musicians/members opportunities to perform on 19 different stages, we also managed to recruit many new young people, create new bands, and have included and incorporated more disadvantaged members than ever into our bands. These events were safe spaces not only for our members, but also for their classmates ages 9-18, and a large crowd of local people. The events are strictly alcohol and drug free, and provide local young people with opportunities to enjoy live music together, keeping them engaged and out of trouble. The events are also open to family members and include all ages, from very young, to elderly people. We are proud of the fact that parents and carers can enjoy music events with their young people.

Consultation with stakeholders

Powerjam has an extensive waiting list and we continuously receive applications from local young musicians who would like to join our various projects. We also regularly request feedback from our members, their families, as well as from our audiences and event organizers.
