Director of the Saturday Romanian School: During this fiscal year, one of our prominent achievements was the establishment of the Saturday Romanian School, free of charge for the romanina speaking community in Northern Ireland, this was possible by a grant received from the Romanian Government, the Department for Romanians living abroad. This initiative catered to the educational needs of the children of Romanian-speaking parents in Northern Ireland. The school provided language and cultural education, helping the younger generation maintain a connection with their heritage and history.2. Support for Romanian Football Team - Romania NI FC Club: BIRC formally supported the Romanian football team based in Northern Ireland. The team's journey from the third-tier amateur league to the second-tier league exemplified the spirit of unity and sportsmanship within our community. This initiative garnered significant attention and pride from the community.3. Multicultural Festival Participation: BIRC actively participated in various multicultural festivals across Northern Ireland. These events allowed us to increase the visibility of the Romanian community, showcase our cultural heritage, and foster intercultural understanding among diverse communities.4. www.RomaniaInUK.com - Informational Website:We launched the RomaniaInUK.com website, which emerged as a vital platform for disseminating pertinent information to Romanians residing in the UK. This website offers a wealth of resources, including personal stories, legal insights, and up-to-date information on UK legislation, in an accessible format tailored to the needs of the community.5. Collaborations and Partnerships:Collaboration remained at the heart of our efforts. BIRC collaborated extensively with local NGOs, governmental institutions, the Romanian Embassy in London, and the Romanian Consulates in the UK. These partnerships amplified the impact of our initiatives and ensured comprehensive support for the community.Accomplishments and Impact:1. Educational Enrichment: The Romanian Saturday School Belfast contributed significantly to preserving our language and culture among the younger generation. It instilled a strong sense of identity and a connection to their roots.2. Sports and Unity: Our support for the Romanian football team showcased the community's unity, potential, and talents, fostering a sense of pride among members.3. Cultural Visibility: Participation in multicultural festivals enhanced the visibility of the Romanian community, dispelling stereotypes and promoting cultural exchange.4. Language and Integration Workshops:BIRC organizes language classes to help Romanian immigrants improve their English language skills and also a Romanian Saturday School fro the children born outside the borders of Romania and who don;t know the romanian. These workshops contribute to better integration, enabling individuals to communicate effectively and participate in various aspects of Northern Irish society.2. Cultural Events: The organization arranges FREE cultural events that celebrate Romanian traditions, festivals, and cuisine. These events not only offer a sense of familiarity to the community members but also provide an opportunity for the wider Northern Irish population to appreciate and learn about Romanian culture.3.
