COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

PSYCHOSIS THERAPY PROJECT COMMUNITY INTEREST COMPANY

Company Number: 11800426 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 March 2023

Company activities and impact

The company delivers free or low-cost specialist psychotherapy for people who experience psychosis and people with an experience of racial trauma in deprived areas in Inner City London (Islington, Lambeth and Southwark). The company offers a combination of long-termindividual therapy, open-ended art and talking therapy groups and peer support groups (dropin-service). It also provides specialist training and supervision to a growing team of therapists and volunteers across 3 boroughs. The Psychosis Therapy service is funded on an ongoing basis by Islington Mind in the context of Islington Mind's contract with Islington Council. It was funded by Lambeth & Southwark Mind until the end of March 2023 in the context of a National Lottery Reaching Community grant. The Usemi Racial Trauma Clinic received funding from the Maudsley Charity until September 2022. Neither funding could be renewed, which impacted PTP- Usemi services in South London. In June 2022, the Psychosis Therapy Project secured funding from Lambeth Council for Usemi to deliver specialist support in the context of the Redress scheme. Additionally, a National Lottery Awards for All grant has funded 3 culturally specific Women's groups (Black, Asian and Latin-American) for a year from December 2022. The PTP low-cost clinic is being developed so as to expand self-funding strategies.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders consist in a community of 75+ service users (and their carers) and 30 therapists and volunteers across Islington, Lambeth and Southwark. Our service has continuously been shaped and developed through consultation. We have received excellent feedback from service users. Therapists and volunteers are also consulted in the context ofmonthly team meetings and fortnightly group supervision sessions as well as through ad-hoc individual meetings.
