Company activities and impact

In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Fighting Spirit Wellbeing (FSW) was founded in February 2019. It offers support to individuals and organisations encountering loneliness, anxiety, isolation, and work-related stress. Our activities are based around non-contact boxing fitness as a physical exercise that improves mental focus, builds self-esteem, and relieves stress. Fighting Spirit Wellbeing (FSW) has been dormant during this year due to the commitments of the director Gwen Richards to fostering. Our gym has been shut completely, and no private or group sessions took place between March 2022 and February 2023. Corporate events, public meetings and workshops have been similarly curtailed. The plan is to build momentum, reconnect with contacts, and develop new partnerships.A plan on how we move forward using the FS branding is being developed and will be implemented in 2024.

Consultation with stakeholders

Gwen Richards the founder, continues to be an active member of GMCC, North Manchester Business Network and Lloyds Business Hub, ensuring any relationships are safeguarded. However due to the pressure and demands of fostering, Gwen has not been able to engage with the community to the same degree. When circumstances ease with the fostering, Gwen will endeavor to reconnect and build these relationships.
