This year No Vice Ice has produced ice lollies, using local surplus fruit, juice and other natural ingredients. We have sold these at 7 venues in Oxford. We rescued over 100kg of surplus berries from becoming waste at local farms. We have also run workshops for people – safe and interactive spaces where people can havr conversations about health, sustainability and diet, connect and have fun. We have also run our second first series of traineeships for people with hidden health conditions. These provide accessible paid training and employment experience to people who live with long term health conditions who have experienced barriers to work as a result of their condition. This year we worked intensively with 4 people who completed the traineeships and graduated with either a level 2 or 3 qualification in food hygiene/production.
Stakeholders:- Customers - Consumers purchasing our lollies (Waste2Taste, Flos, Rectory Farm, Restore, Missing Bean, Museum of Modern Art)- Suppliers (Rectory Farm, Oxford Farmhouse)- Local individuals/families living with hidden health conditions that benefit from the Lolly Labs workshops or training opportunities- People participating in our trainee programmeWe have consulted with stakeholders in a range of ways:- We have received feedback from all of our lolly stockists- Played an active role ein the OX4 food crew – an alliance of 9 organisations fighting for food equality in our local area- Our Trainee manager has undertaken outreach through connected groups- in particular organisations that work with people returning to work or organisations that work with people who have hidden health conditions: e.g. Aspire, Yellow Submarine, - Our Lolly labs attracted people with children and we talked to them and their parents about support available, about nutritional needs and community wellbeing needs of families (report available) - Got feedback from people taking part in our bespoke traineeships program for people with hidden health conditions (impact report available)
