Company activities and impact

In the past financial year, Igbo Union Yorkshire CIC embarked on several activities in line with a mission to enhance the health and well-being of our members and promote partnership and integration with our immediate community in Leeds and West Yorkshire.We held our annual family fun and sports day in August at Crossflats Park, Leeds.Participants comprising our members of the community and our members took part in a wide range of sporting and fitness activities. These include Zumba, Tug-of-war, children/men/women athletics, football, and dance.We also sponsored a fun trip to Flamengo Land Yorkshire for children 0-17 years resident within the postcodes of West Yorkshire as part of our children's summer holiday activities. These activities, organised and funded by Igbo Union Yorkshire CIC in partnership with Leeds City Council, further our mission to promote the well-being of our community and encourage better integration.

Consultation with stakeholders

We are in constant consultation with local Councillors within the ward areas of Leeds City. Council where our members reside. The venue of our monthly meetings and all activities are located at Community Centres and public facilities around Leeds. This brings us in frequent contact and consultation with all stakeholders to foster collaborative partnerships.
