Our goal for the last year was sustainability. We managed to secure £9,600 from awards all which solidified our session work and for other areas. We branched into areas such as young people and children, encouraging them to sing and join a choir. We also secured funding from the 64 Trust, Liverpool City Council for the Eurovision, LCVS and Cobalt Housing. These were small grants but it gave us a clear vision of what we wanted to do. Through the funding we were allowed to perform within communities, care homes and hospitals. We also saw how friendships and relationships were being formed with people coming out of their shell and taking the lead. Hopefully, with what we are doing with the Communities Together Choir we are touching lives, changing hearts and transforming communities. We are very thankful for our sponsors and funders. The last year has taken River of Life to another level of performance. We aim to build an intergenerational choir and go into schools with our new singing programme that Director Liam Moore has created called 'Sing It', an educational resource that includes life development, coaching and singing. We look forward to our next challenge.
