Everyone's A Singer has been a beacon of inspiration and cultural celebration in our community. Throughout the financial year, our activities have spanned from music and art to history and heritage, always centering on the transformative power of music for mental well-being. The following are our significant contributions:Youth African-Caribbean Folk Song Programme: Engaged 12 attendees, fostering cultural appreciation and identity affirmation among the youth. By highlighting Caribbean song and folklore, we were able to bridge generational gaps and fortify connections to ancestral roots.Singing for Wellbeing Workshops: With 80 attendees, we promoted mental well-being, offering participants a therapeutic outlet through music.Film Screening and Panel Discussion: This event, with 170 attendees, showcased 'Shantaye's World' and led to community dialogues on the Windrush legacy and its contemporary implications.Thanksgiving Service and Flag Raising: A poignant reminder of the Windrush generation's contributions, fostering unity and respect among community members. These events have not only enlightened our community about our shared history but have also provided platforms for creative expression, dialogue, and mental wellness.
