Community Benefit Statement – March 2022 to February 2023Magnify Bible Tours CIC has been very active during this period and coped with a great deal of challenges with the lifting of Covid restrictions. Museums and institutions in London gradually opened up and more individuals started travelling, so we made a return to “in-person” tours in many locations in London. We did this in way that made visitors as safe as possible, with full implementation of Covid protection guidelines. On the other hand, as generally people returned to work and pre-Covid lifestyles returned, there was a much-reduced demand for virtual tours. During this period, we developed and rolled out a tour at the Wiener Holocaust Library in London and made it available both in person and virtually. This has been a very important tour in highlighting the persecution experienced by many during the Nazi years in Germany and Europe, and focussing on those who resisted the Nazi ideology – showing why they resisted and how they were able to do it. This tour has already benefitted hundreds and we look forward to having many more join us. We have provided 1,147 1 to 1.5 hour long tours for a total of 6,534 individuals, including 438 children. Of these 901 tours were conducted virtually and 246 in-person.The in-person tours with 1,878 individuals attending brought many visitors to London, a significant number from the USA, Australia and Europe. Of these many stated that enjoying one of our tours was a principal reason for visiting the UK.Each one of these tours provided significant educational value, as they presented thoroughly researched information in an enjoyable and accessible way. All the tours were totally interactive, with a live guide and plenty of question and answer interaction, as opposed to recorded videos.During the period March 2022 to February 2023, our tours (virtual and in-person) have raised £2,591 for the institutions such as the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, Wiener Holocaust Library, the British Library and the Israel Museum. Many of those making use of the virtual tours had greatly desired to visit these institutions, but through age, disability or distance would be unable to visit in person. Many expressed how they really appreciated being able to “visit” these places virtually. At the same time, for those who would otherwise have travelled to these locations, viewing the tours virtually greatly reduced the environmental cost of travelling.
