The Crouch End Neighbourhood Forum is producing a Neighbourhood Plan for Crouch End in partnership with the local residents and local businesses in Crouch End. The Neighbourhood Forum is officially designated by the London Borough of Haringey in accordance with the Localism Act 2011, and designation was reconfirmed by the Council in 2021. The purpose of the Neighbourhood Plan is to formulate local policies for the development and use of land which will promote and improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of Crouch End to the benefit of local residents, businesses and the public at large.During the year we continued work on the draft plan, and when the first draft is ready this will be shared with stakeholders to obtain comments and feedback. We have also met with local council officers to provide feedback on the Haringey Local Plan which is currently under revision.
Our primary stakeholders are the local residents, organisations and businesses of Crouch End.During the year we have had various interactions with local residents and businesses, and we also engaged with council officers from the local authority planning department. We held a successful well-attended AGM, which attracted new interest from residents with several new joiners to our committee. We maintain contact and promote awareness of our activities via our web site, mailing list and regular newsletters.
