The company EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES WITH HOPE AND OPPORTUNITY CIC (ECHO) has been actively seeking private funders from local residents of Tower Hamlets, businesses and community grants during its first financial year to fund future community projects of fun days, youth retreats and potential youth/homework clubs. ECHO has also been looking into recruiting volunteers from residents of Tower Hamlets to help implement these future projects. Thus far 10 volunteers from the local community have commited.The company has registered to become a member of Community Transport Waltham Forest (CTWF) whom provide transport facility for local groups, organisations and allied services. Further to this ECHO has trained 3 volunteers with MiDAS certification, a Minibus DriverAwareness Scheme and is administered by the Community Transport Association, in preparation for taking adults and youth on retreats.The first financial year of 2022-2023 was largely utilised in preparation of launching future community activities in summer 2023 by establishing finance, providing training and developing website/social media profile.
