Company activities and impact

We are a Social Enterprise aimed at providing disadvantaged people within Liverpool and wider Merseyside with provisions of facilities and programmes to foster their future aspirations and ensure everyone reaches their full potential within our communities regardless of disadvantage. We have 20+ years experience working with people deemed "hard to reach" and this is why we created our social enterprise and shared community co-working space. Our target groups are: - Young people expelled from school - People in the criminal justice system - Unemployed persons - Single parents - Detached Minority ethnics - Persons with disabilities. Within our shared innovative community workspace, a large proportion of our work focuses on providing initiatives that help raise aspirations of these disadvantaged people most in need to access facilities, gain skills and qualifications in an environment that is supportive and comfortable. For example, we know the challenges faced by those living within our catchments through our "Start Up School", which supports people in Merseyside to think about business startup (including Social Enterprises), and develop new innovative ideas. Across our programmes we provide free advice and support regarding business / CIC start ups, financial guidance, accounting, marketing, events management and business planning. This provides disadvantaged people with new ways to think about their futures. Other examples of our community work includes when BIPC awarded us funding to provide 1.2.1 coaching to 6 neurodivergent entrepreneurs. We have supported young adults with autism to develop career pathways and we also consult regularly with our catchments across Merseyside to better understand community needs. We also provide free or funded events to the community during the UK holidays such as Eurovision, Halloween and The Kings Coronation to promote community cohesion and give support during the cost of living crisis.

Consultation with stakeholders

We regularly meet with the local community and gain valuable insights into young people’s interests as well as older members of the community. We use this feedback to be able to tailor our offering to the community through events and when planning projects.

Directors' remuneration

There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed other than declared in the accounts.
