Company activities and impact

Sycamore Dining prepares, cooks and serves meals to the elderly and vulnerable in and around Nottingham.In the year ending October 2023 we prepared and served 10717 meals in total, of which 2434 were served in the Foxton GardenCafe Lounge, an independent living scheme for the elderly; 2561 were delivered to the homes of the elderly and vulnerable; 3562 were served at luncheon clubs for the elderly; and 2160 were donated to vulnerable young families.Our volunteers contributed over 3300 hours in delivering this service, benefitting their wellbeing as well as those receiving the meals.The luncheon clubs purpose is to help combat loneliness as most of the recipients live alone.

Consultation with stakeholders

Our volunteers work closely with activity coordinators that work for the council in independent living schemes and the church that hosts "Heat and Eat" in Ruddington twice every month. The activity coordinator's provide feedback from residents for us about the quality of food and service provided by our volunteers. Our business model was developed by working with coordinators.Demand for our meals showed growth of 33% in the last year.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £8510.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
