Unity Gymnastics academy has worked within the community to offer classes at a low rate, we decided not to higher any costs and keep classes affordable for all. We have had many enjoy are structured classes from a variety of backgrounds including deprived, ethical and Citizens of Ukraine who have been living over here. Our classes have offered a high quality experience in a safe environment for children to have fun within the sports of gymnastics. We have also been able to offer a new discipline "ninja gymnastics) which incorporates a more freestyle / parkour experience. Being a CIC has allowed us to enquire and provide more equipment to the children at no extra cost to offer them the best experience possible. We have provided CPD training in school to help teachers bring the sport into their P.E sessions safely and effectively, this has been greatly received with feedback that it has given a great understanding to the teachers knowledge and offered an opportunity to give more to children who may not be able to afford classes. These sessions have also shown teachers how they can make the most of their current equipment to bring gymnastics into their sessions while improving children's balance, coordination, strength and spatial awareness. We have also been able to offer within this setting breakfast clubs to enable parents who may work tricky hours the chance to continue working and give their children a fun energetic way to start their day in a positive environment. We have been able to offer structured P.E curriculum sessions to make sessions engaging and fun as well as letting the children experience a new set of skills on specific equipment they may not have access to in school or out of school clubs.Unity gymnastics has been able to offer other clubs teaching and advice to be able to incorporate skills and safe training into their sports including dance schools by offering Acro sessions tailored to their needs.
There had been meetings with staff through the year to talk about how we can keep moving the club forwards to grow and increase our community without costs being increased. We have discussed further training, grants available, community events.
