  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. The company's ongoing activities are dependent upon the continued support of the directors who have undertaken to provide such support for the foreseeable future. If the going concern basis were not appropriate, adjustments would have to be made to reduce the value of assets to their recoverable amount, to provide for any further liabilities that may arise and to reclassify fixed assets as current assets and long term liabilities as current liabilities.

Company activities and impact

The Center runs as a general community hub where residents can come and join in various activities to help fight social isolation and promote community spirit during this financial year the centers activities have benefitted the community by: Providing food bank parcels to struggling residents, being a meeting place for many groups inc. yoga, amateur radio, kickboxing. Running monthly bingo session which residents enjoy. Hosting toy and school uniform appeals to ensure children received gifts to Christmas had uniforms

Consultation with stakeholders

The companies stakeholders are the local residents in Ashton and bays. They attend the various activities held at the center. We consulted the residents during conversation at group in the center and via Facebook pools about what they would like to see at the center and have added a new group based on the feedback.
