Invisible Cities has continued supporting its beneficiaries - guides and trainees who have experienced homelessness in the financial year by:- continue offering training sessions in person or online on confidence building, digital skills, customer service, public speaking, etc- continue offering life-long training on life skill including Gambling support, mental health wellbeing, budgeting etc.- offering weekly deliveries of food parcels, activity packs and wellbeing items- offering vouchers and cash vouchers for beneficiaries to cope with cost of living crisis- offering free walking tours to the local communities of our cities so people can socialise, improve their mental health and have a sense of belonging and pride in the place where they live. This has included tours to Ukrainian Refugees, people who have been in the justice system or beneficiaries of other charities and organisations. - continue offering individual support sessions to our guides, trainees and supported volunteers. This has included: administration support, signposting to mental health services, financial independence, etc - supporting people to access stable, long-term employment and education opportunities- when appropriate, supporting people start their own business- offering opportunities for our beneficiaries to access culture and heritage opportunities such as museum and historical venues visits or outdoor activities. We have walking tours of our cities to tens of thousands of guests and broken down the stigma that exists around homelessness by showcasing that when given a chance people have a lot to offer and can deliver a professional, high quality productWe have also produced content on our cities focusing on underrepresented groups such as Black History in our cities or women representation.
Beneficiaries (guides and trainees) have been consulted on what type of support would be the most needed/required. It has been decided that provision of groceries was the easiest/most beneficial.Guides and trainees have been an integral of the process of designing and producing new products at Invisible Cities (merchandise and content).
The total amount paid to or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £30,000 (2022: £30,000). There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
