The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2023

Principal activities of the company

The objects of the Trust shall be to carry on any business for the benefit of the parish of Dinnington St John's by taking forward the key projects contained within the Dinnington St John's Neighbourhood Plan and help ensure they are delivered in a co-ordinated manner and timely fashion.The activities of the Trust have continued to be partially delayed as a result of the backlog in so many areas caused by Covid-19. Progress has however been made in getting the application for Affordable Housing on East Street to a point that a pre-application for planning can be made. In addition the Trust has been working with the Town Council to identify other sites in Dinnington that could be developed for Affordable Housing for local people.A series of communications with the local Community via newsletter and face to face meetings have taken place to ensure that the key stakeholders have been kept up to date. The Trust has also facilitated the allocation of £700,000 of 106 funding from a local housing development that will be used to enhance Sports and Leisure activities in the Community. This will be delivered once Sport England complete their assessment of need.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Other accounting policies

    Going concernThese financial statements have been prepared assuming the company will continue as a going concern. The Land Trust is a beneficiary of the East Street development as well as two other sites. The land Trust has facilitated these developments and will receive a share of the profit from the developers. The directors expect to receive £15,000 income in the next financial year and further income in 24-25.

Company activities and impact

Consultation with stakeholders

The main stakeholders of the Trust are the local community and residents of Dinnington St John's Parish. The main communication conduit is via quarterly newsletters as well as a regular update at a Town Council meeting which is open to the public. We have also benefited from Facebook posts arranged through Ward Councillors and our local MP.There have also been two articles in the local press detailing the Trusts activities and future plans. The feedback from these interactions have been used to determine the priorities for the Trust in conjunction with the Neighbourhood Plan.
