The activities of the Trust have continued to be partially delayed as a result of the backlog in so many areas caused by Covid 19. Progress has however been made in getting the application for Affordable Housing on East Street to a point that a pre-application for planning can be made. In addition the Trust has been working with the Town Council to identify other sites in Dinnington that could be developed for Affordable Housing for local people. A series of communications with the local Community via newsletters and face to face meetings have taken place to ensure that the key stakeholders have bee kept up to date. The Trust has also facilitated the allocation of £700,000 of 106 funding from a local housing development that will be used to enhance Sports and leisure activities for the Community. This will be delivered once Sports England complete their assessments of need.
The main stakeholders of the Trust are the local community and residents of Dinnington St John's Parish. The main communication conduit is via quarterly newsletters as well as a regular update at a Town Council meeting which is open to the public. We have also benefited from Facebook posts arranged through Ward Councillors and our local MP.There have also been two articles in the local press detailing the Trusts activities and future plans. The feedback from these interactions have been used to determine the priorities for the Trust in conjunction with the Neighbourhood Plan.
