Loves Sport was created to provide an inclusive, welcoming environment for children/young people to engage in grassroots sport as a participant or coach, with a focus on those coming from financially disadvantaged homes. The company offers a series of programmes for young people including weekly training sessions, summer activity camps and training pathway programmes. The activities they partake in increase engagement in a multi-ethnic environment, increase the number of opportunities for physical exercise, unlock and identify talent, increase physical and emotional well-being, and offer professional training and direct career pathways.
The company's stakeholders are education leaders and young people. Through consultation we identified the following:- Advice about progressing in sports as regular participant players or coaches. More regular, organised sporting activities (i.e. not just for holiday periods). Opportunities to connect and develop friendship with peers across multi-ethnic groups. Career Guidance
