Company activities and impact

The company provides football training sessions for youngsters aged 5 – 13 in the Stoke-on- Trent area.We provide two training sessions a week and have teams in the local youth football league.The main demographics of our players is ethnic minorities and those from socio economic deprived areas. The directors are from the area of Stoke-on-Trent and felt children from South Asian and ethnic minorities don’t have access to football and have created the environment to encourage participation.Over 100 children taking part in training sessions each week.Created a network amongst parents to socialise and meet new people.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are residents of Stoke On Trent in the ST6 postcode area, this is low income area and high percentage of ethnic minorities. We asked families to fill in short questionnaire to find out what activities’ children would like. We found over 75% wanted a safe place for children to play football and over 90% wanted their children to play in a team in local league.
