The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 31 March 2023

Principal Activities

We offer media production services to organisations and businesses throughout Scotland. This includes video production, photography, graphic design/branding and social media content/management.

Company policy on the employment of disabled persons

StudioFV is committed to equal opportunity in employment and will continue to apply reasonably practicable solutions to issues which may preclude the employment of the most suitable applicant due to their particular disability.

Additional information

StudioFV is a purpose-driven business and all proceeds go towards our mission: combatting social isolation and working with long-term unemployed people & those facing barriers to work. StudioFV is one of the longest standing, well established social enterprises in Renfrewshire and a key player in the RenSen social enterprise network. Working closely with the Engage Renfrewshire network to promote members’ activity through multimedia and marketing and giving support to local community organisations. Engage Renfrewshire supports StudioFV with many aspects of running the company through identifying and referring volunteers, helping with management and board development and honing organisational policies. We have a long track record of managing volunteers in house and have all relevant policies, procedures, insurance and paperwork to facilitate and support volunteer appointment though our apprenticeship model, providing volunteers with a wealth of experience, CV & portfolio development, training and identifying future pathways for employment. StudioFV Board - The StudioFV board are all unpaid volunteers, with a wealth of experience in the third sector, cultural practices, employability and implementation of business development plans in both the organisations they work for and StudioFV itself. We are currently a Ltd Company, moving towards SCIO status and are being supported by Engage Renfrewshire throughout this process. Moving towards SCIO status opens more opportunities for support and funding towards employability, sustainability and third sector organisations being able to access our services at an affordable rate. The uploaded Constitution with this application is one that has been adopted by the board and is now the Constitution that we operate under. This has gone to OSCR along with our application to become a SCIO, which is in motion. This year we have worked with a variety of social enterprises, charities, third sector bodies, public and private sector companies to deliver film, photography, digital media, volunteering opportunities and training. We have delivered training and work experience to 12 long term unemployed people who face barriers to work.
