1 Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard).
Turnover
Turnover represents rental income receivable.
Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided to write off the cost of furniture and fittings in the year of acquisition.
No depreciation has been provided in respect of investment properties. The directors consider that the lives and residual values of the properties, based on current valuations, are such that any charges to the profit and loss account would be insignificant.
Investments
Unlisted investments are stated at cost.
Taxation
A current tax liability is recognised for the tax payable on the taxable profit of the current and past periods.
