Basis of preparing the financial statements |
On adoption of the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" of Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006, as a dormant company, East Wales Food Waste Collections Limited adopted the transitional exemption: |

This exemption allows the company, which is within the Companies Act definition of a dormant company to elect to retain its accounting policies for reported assets, liabilities and equity at the date of transition until there is any change to those balances or the company undertakes any new transactions. |
