Company activities and impact

In 2021-22 Nature Youth Connection and Education CIC (NYCE):-Provided free countryside holidays for 12 families in the Brecon Beacons. All the families were on low income and would not otherwise have been able to go on these trips.-Provided outdoor learning opportunities in St Pauls', Easton, Lawrence Hill, Ashton, Hartcliffe, and Cotham to almost 200 young people, the overwhelming majority of whom came from socially minoritised or economically marginalised backgrounds.-Provided a week long trip to the west Wales for 15 teenagers. This involved outdoor adventure in partnership with TYF Wales and National Trust as well filming and creative opportunities with ACE CIC.-Partnered with ACE CIC to recruit young people most in need of outdoor engagement and provide mentoring and other support for them.-Delivered pizza making workshops to young people and their families in one of the most deprived tower blocks in Bristol.-Ran filming workshops at Felix Road Adventure Playground in partnership with the University of Bristol and Cube Cinema.

Consultation with stakeholders

NYCE CIC has proactively sought the feedback of young people coming to workshops and other activities. Some of this has been informal one to one conversations whilst some has been more formal feedback form filling. This feedback has been used to inform future activities.All families attending the free holidays (FairBnB) have provided feedback of their experiences and any imporvements they would like to see. This has helped to redesign the program for future years.New partnerships have been assessed based on the feedback of partner organisations through scheduled conversations.The trip to the Brecons has been filmed and used to assess its success with attendees as well as their parents/guardians.
