Company activities and impact

itsherstory cic operates in the North West UK, the first project delivered in 2019 in Manchester . Founders Oonagh McDonnell, and Paulette Senior, have more than 25 years expertise in creative arts, multi media, film production, education, social services, training and mentoring. The knowledge and experience enables the Directors to research, develop and deliver projects supporting women in British community. Projects in the form of events, workshops, training courses, blogs and podcasts and video. Projects are delivered in collaboration with regional and National businesses, charities and education; projects reflect the issues and barriers faced by women in Britain. The first programme was developed in collaboration with Professional coaches and Psychologists to address the issues of women who face barriers returning to work after a substantial time caring for others. Additional programmes have been delivered in 2020 focusing on women impacted by the COVI-19 Pandemic and funds obtained to adapt to an online delivery and in collaboration with local businesses to enable women to access sustainable employment after the programme. The programme was funded by a number of local community funds, this required accurate feedback and reviews, each of those reports was returned to the funders for their records. The programme will be continued as additional funding is secured to benefit the growing number of women seeking flexible work to fit with caring responsibilities. Itsherstory.cic is also developing further programmes, events and works shops to support women in the community impacted by the pandemic and subject to increased barriers to racial and physical inclusivity.

Consultation with stakeholders

itsherstory cic has several different groups of stakeholders and all are continually consulted with reviews and documented action plans. Stakeholder groups as follows:Community fundsOn approval of fund allocation itsherstory is required to submit a post project/programme report.Collaboration 3rd sector organisations Each collaboration required MOU and written commitment and scope of work agreements. Regional BusinessesLocal businesses collaborate as part of CSR with provisions, funds and premises. Agreements are in the form of MOU’s and pledges. Women in the communities around the North West.Women take part in the programmes after registering and agreeing to terms and conditions. Candidates review the programmes and provide written feed back which is reported to funders and programme designers for future development.Itsherstory cic directors and volunteersRegular AGMs and programme meetings take place and these are documented with actions for future events and programmes.
