Tangible fixed assets are shown at cost. |
The Company's freehold interest in land was purchased in 1991 and is subject to long leases in Caple Court which include certain repairing covenants. The cost of the acquisition therefore relates to the reversionary interest in the land alone, excluding the value of the buildings. In the opinion of the Directors no provision for depreciation from the cost needs to be provided on this freehold interest. |
