The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

The sum of £6,476 represents the purchase price of the residual element of the freehold interest in the Fosseway House property. This investment became the unencumbered property of the Company in 1996 by a cash redemption of the final tranche of the Debenture Loan Notes originally issued to finance the purchase of the whole freehold interest.
