Community Impact Report for Somali Community CICIn the financial year June 2022 to June 2023, Somali Community CIC has been dedicated to actively engaging with and supporting the local community in Merton. Through our participation in the Community Championship and various initiatives, we have strived to make a tangible difference in the lives of those around us.1. Community Champions Initiative:As a proud participant in the Community Championship in Merton, Somali Community CIC has demonstrated its commitment to fostering community development and empowerment. By actively engaging in this initiative, we have contributed to building a stronger and more cohesive local community.2. Youth Sports Project:Recognising the importance of promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among the youth, Somali Community CIC has initiated and supported various youth sports projects in Merton. These projects not only provide opportunities for young individuals to engage in sports but also foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership skills.3. Support for the Somali Community:Understanding the unique needs of the Somali community in Merton, Somali Community CIC has extended a helping hand by providing assistance with filling forms and addressing informational needs. We recognise the importance of ensuring accessibility to essential services and information, and our efforts aim to bridge any existing gaps in the community.4. Collaboration and Partnership:Somali Community CIC firmly believes in the power of collaboration and partnership in driving positive change. Through strategic partnerships with local organisations and community groups, we have been able to amplify our impact and reach a broader segment of the community.5. Future Commitments:Looking ahead, Somali Community CIC remains committed to actively engaging with and supporting the community in Merton. We are continuously exploring new opportunities and initiatives to address evolving community needs and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.In conclusion, Somali Community CIC is proud to have played a role in benefiting the community in Merton during the financial year June 2022 to June 2023.
