Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 June 2023 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises the invoiced value of goods and services supplied by the company plus grants received, net of Value Added Tax (where VAT registered) and trade discounts.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation and any provision for impairment. Company activities and impact

Triboband CIC delivers percussion workshops and performances to benefit various local communities, in addition to providing support for community events. In the year from July 2022 to June 2023, Triboband CIC has: 1.Delivered 78 workshops, teaching Brazilian percussion (Samba Reggae drumming) to the local and wider community2.Performed to support the Marielle Franco festival in Brick Lane on 2nd July 20223.Performed on stage and delivered percussion workshops at ALSO festival in July 20224.Travelled to Oxford in July and August 2022 to teach a Samba Reggae group called Sol Samba and encourage collaboration between the 2 groups5.Performed at the La Clave festival in August 20226.Paraded for the local community at Notting Hill Carnival in August 20227.Paraded for the local community at Kingston Hill Carnival in September 20228.Performed at the GenderSmart conference on 18th October 20229.Performed at the wedding party of a local community member on 22nd October 202210.Performed at a local restaurant in November and December 2022 while Brazil played in the world cup11.Paraded for the local community at the Wolverton Lantern festival in December 202212.Supported the local community at Kensington Temple International Day in December 202213.Performed in a local restaurant (Made In Brazil) on 18th February 202314.Attended the Baque Trip Europa in Bordeaux in May 2023 to strengthen bonds with other percussion masters and groups across Europe15.Paraded and performed at the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park in June 2023All of the above have benefitted the individuals/communities who have attended workshops, parades and performances. They have improved their percussion skills, learnt more about the history of samba reggae, met new people and now have enhanced physical and emotional wellbeing.
