The company has taken on a 27 year lease of New Brighton Community Centre from Flintshire County Council, thus ensuring the continued survival of the community centre. The centre houses youth clubs, community bar, community engagement and hosts many other clubs for the benefit of the community and also hires the centre out for parties and events. We endeavour to bring in users of the centre, that we know our residents will benefit from. We also hold many events in the village and the community centre to bring the residents together and also help with isolation and loneliness.
The company's stakeholders are residents of and visitors to the New Brighton Community Centre and our local authority and community council. The directors of the company have lived in New Brighton for several years and developed the business model for the Centre based on their experience of talking to other residents. We keep in touch with all of the users of the centre and our residents, via social media and other forms of communication. This has enabled us to identify that there are approx. 250 households in the village and about 10% of these are social housing and the others privately owned. We ensure that we cater for all of our village residents needs during the year.
