Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 July 2023 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Turnover represents net invoiced sales for the development of gas sensor systems, excluding value added tax.In line with Financial Reporting Standard 102, Revenue Recognition income has been recognised when the company obtains the right to consideration in exchange for it's performance.StocksStocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

Other accounting policies

Financial instrumentsFinancial Instruments are classified and accounted for, according to the substance of the contractual arrangement, as financial assets, financial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities. Where shares are issued, any component that creates a financial liability of the company ispresented as a liability in the balance sheet. the corresponding dividends relating to the liability component are charged as interest expense in the profit and loss account.Going concernThe directors have considered the financial position of the company and believe it is well placed to manage its business risks successfully. The directors have a reasonable expectation, in light of fundraising activities, that the company has access to adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The directors have a reasonable expectation that the companyhas adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future, thus continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.

3. Related party transactions

During the year the company had the following related party transactions:-£3,951 (2022: £76,005) purchases from Provector Limited a company controlled by a director of Atmospheric Sensors Limited, Mr M J Kellaway. At the year end £nil (2022: £20,769) was due to Provector Ltd.-£2,145 (2022: £90,975) sales to Alphasense Limited and purchases from Alphasense Limited of £nil (2022: £141), a company that holds shares in Atmospheric Sensors Limited. At the year end £nil (2022: £22,800) was due from Alphasense Limited.
