Settle Community and Business Hub provides a focal point and facilities to foster greater local community activity and bring residents, the local community, and smaller organisations together to improve community links, business networking and the quality of life for residents in Settle and surrounding villages. In this financial year our activities included; Allotment project Community fridge Public Living Room social events at Settle Quakers twice a week Advocacy support and help with finances, especially energy and phone bills and social tariffs Low energy 'haybox ' cookery sessions Hosting monthly COBRA meetings for Settle organisations Our office provides a venue for a range of groups and services including pop up banking with Barclays regular mental health support group craft and educational activities low cost room hire for businesses and community groups Business support, training and liaison with other business organisations
Our stakeholders are local residents, businesses, community groups and charities but we also work closely with other organisations further afield to help them engage with our local community. Feedback forms and direct suggestions from visitors at our live and online events inform our plans and we try and respond to requests for workshops, activities and training.
The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £7,755.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
