We aim to support local communities and provide them with opportunities by a provide platform for upcoming poets in Nottingham and the rest of Midland area. The CIC will further help to improve the quiality of poetry skills in the area. For example organisaing regular poverty event and workshops to showcase tihe talent of the upcoming poets. These sessions are aim to be delivered in onc to one sessions, online events and webnairs. It is alos aim to raise awareness of knife crimes and other anti social behaviour through poetry. As poetry is therapeutic, it is also aimed to serve as a force in the combat of mantal health and entrainment for less privileged in the Midlands.
Power in Poetry CIC has engaged in extensive consultation with stakeholders to ensure our programs and initiatives are aligned with the needs of the communities we serve. Our consultation process included:Surveys and Questionnaires: We distributed surveys to participants of past events, volunteers, and community members to gather feedback on our offerings and suggestions for improvement.Focus Groups: We conducted focus groups with key community members, including educators, local artists, and youths, to dive deeper into the specific needs and aspirations of our stakeholders.One-on-One Interviews: We held interviews with prominent local figures in the poetry and arts scene to gain expert insight into the current landscape and future trends.Public Forums: We organized public forums where community members could openly discuss their experiences with our programs and voice their expectations.Partner Consultations: Regular meetings were held with our partners, including local schools, libraries, and art organizations, to discuss collaborative efforts and shared goals.Advisory Panels: We assembled an advisory panel composed of individuals from a cross-section of our stakeholder groups to review and provide input on our strategic direction.Throughout these consultations, we collected valuable data and perspectives that have been instrumental in shaping our strategic planning and operational adjustments. This ongoing dialogue is a cornerstone of our commitment to community engagement and responsiveness.
