We have started to deliver a range of creative courses to support peoples well-being and mental health. The company has received the first two grants in this financial period, which have specifically been used to benefit small groups of people with long Covid. The company is small and we have been benefiting a specific cohort of isolated and chronically ill people. The feedback that we have had from participants has been extremely positive and it is this that has secured further funding. We will have helped 60 people with long Covid, in their Leeds area by the end of 2024.100% of participants surveyed so far would recommend the online art course is that we deliver, to other people in similar positions. 50% of the participants have taken up art as a hobby in their own time and 90% of participants continue to attend a monthly art session, to continue feeling part of a community and to improve their skills.
We have a small team of 5 committee members. The founding director, Jessica Taylor is the main art teacher for the online Long Covid Art sessions and we have recently taken on another Director, who is interested in working with disabled adults in the Wakefield area/ West Yorkshire. Regular meetings are held via zoom and the bank account is reviewed by the Treasurer.
