Company activities and impact

DMCIC has:- Provided support in matters relating to hearing loss and/or communication difficulties.- Facilitated training and learning opportunities for individuals, organisations and other interested parties to raise D/deaf awareness and to gain positive communication skills to communicate effectively with others. Training packages include Deaf Awareness, British Sign Language and Total Communication courses.- Engaged with other agencies, organisations and individuals to form working partnerships and collaborated with them to provide solutions and funding to meet the activities listed above to work towards a common goal. Where we are not able to offer direct support due to geographical issues or professional boundaries, we have signposted individuals to more appropriate services. The impact of the above support has meant that DMCIC has enabled wellbeing for individuals with hearing loss by empowering them to break down barriers that they have experienced as a result of their hearing loss and/or communication difficulties to prevent isolation, mental health issues and other associated risks.
