2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
Basis of preparing the financial statements |
Going concern |
The company's parent has undertaken to provide the company with such financial support as it may need for at least the twelve months after these accounts are approved and so the directors have prepared these accounts on the going concern basis. |
Significant judgements and estimates |
The preparation of the financial statements requires management to make judgements, estimates and assumptions that affect the amounts reports. The estimates and judgments are continually reviewed and are based on experience and other factors, including expectations of future events that are believed to be reasonable under the circumstances. However, actual results may differ from those anticipated. |
In preparing these financial statements, the directors have exercised judgement principally in evaluating the recoverabilty of debtors. |
Investments in subsidiaries |
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost. |
Taxation |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
Deferred tax |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |

11. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
1)The company owed its parent £6,586,957 at the balance sheet date (2021 - £1,713,713). This loan bears interest at 10% per annum and, save in the instance of a breach in the terms of the loan agreement, is due to be repaid by 23 April 2031. |
2)The company was owed £8,276,498 by its subsidiaries at the balance sheet date (2021 - £2,107,680). These loans are interest-free with no set repayment terms. |
