BidefordConnex started as a weekly Community Conversation whose aim was dedicated to enabling community groups, organisations and empowering individuals. By offering a free space. Where local people can access and engage in educational, environmental as well as health and social activities to improve individual and family well being. The following is a snap shot of activities.In the last year the free space has provided local women to accessTalkWorksNHS Menopause 6 week programme. This led to the women holding a a monthly Coven Women's Group and Visible Women facebook page. Alcohol Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous now have a town centre weekly meeting space for people who have worked to achieve abstinence. A personal goal in their recovery journey from legal and illegal substance misuse. Whilst saving thousands per person to the local economy in terms of a reduction of health care costs and Anti Social Behaviour related crimes.Nurture in Nature is where young people with neurodiverse needs meet at weekendsXR hold monthly meetings for local craft activists who care deeply about the environment.Friends of the Link Centre also meet on monday mornings.
