STATUSThe company was dormant from incorporation on 11 March 2022 to 31 March 2023.STATEMENT OF DIRECTORS RESPONSIBILITIESThe directors are responsible for preparing the Directors' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulation. Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the directors have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice - United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law. Under company law the directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these financial statements the directors are required to: - Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently- Make judgements and accounting estimates that are reasonable and prudent- Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will continue in business. The directors are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.The report of the directors has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions within Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.

Company activities and impact

Liverpool Sings will provide large scale singing projects that gather the stories of marginalised people within communities and transform them into original choral pieces; singing projects and performances across the Liverpool City Region that promote social cohesion and diversity.Communities across the 6 boroughs within the Liverpool City Region will benefit from learning new skills, social cohesion by participating in group singing activities such as workshops, performances and recordings. Liverpool Sings will be accessible to all people regardless of gender, race, singing experience, religion, disability or sexual orientation.Through collective singing workshops and large-scale performances there will be a sense of shared ownership between the participants which in turn creates increased confidence, the learning of new skills and a stronger more connected community spirit.Liverpool Sings will offer the development of in-person and online music educational packages that provide alternative methods of learning and development to organisations and community groups interested in developing their creative skills. Having access to online learning packages will enable organisations to offer training to more of their users. Some of the training will take place in person and online for people to provide more choice in terms of group or independent learning from home.
