The company runs a number of projects, its trading project is EcoMojo Refills, which provides plastic-free shopping to local residents. Initially this was undertaken using a Mobile Shop, in the form of a van.In April 2022 the first bricks and mortar shop was opened, in North Tawton, which was one of the places that was visited by the van, and was well receivedIn June 2022 a 'mini' EcoMojo was established within a village shop in Northlew, a previous pop-up location in the Van.During the financial year to 31 March 2023, the business's activities have benefitted the community in the following ways:-Local residents have been able to buy their plastic free groceries in a more convenient way, via a home delivery service, at the Mobile Shop, and in two rural town locations. This has enabled the communities to reduce their 'food miles', reducing emissions, and reducing travel costs. The business has provided part-time employment for 3 local people, and 1 employee under the government Kick-Starter scheme, providing jobs for those who have been identified as being at risk of long term unemployment.15 other small businesses have benefitted from being able to purchase goods at wholesale prices, but also by selling their products in the Shop and Mobile Shop.
