itsherstory cic operates in the North West UK, the first project delivered in 2019 in Manchester . Founders Oonagh McDonnell, and Paulette Senior, have more than 25 years expertise in creative arts, multi media, film production, education, social services, training and mentoring. The knowledge and experience enables the Directors to research, develop and deliver projects supporting women in British community. Projects in the form of events, workshops, training courses, blogs and podcasts and video. Projects are delivered in collaboration with regional and National businesses, charities and education; projects reflect the issues and barriers faced by women in Britain. The first programme was developed in collaboration with Professional coaches and Psychologists to address the issues of women who face barriers returning to work after a substantial time caring for others. Additional programmes have been delivered in 2020 focusing on women impacted by the COVI-19 Pandemic and funds obtained to adapt to an online delivery and in collaboration with local businesses to enable women to access sustainable employment after the programme. The programme was funded by a number of local community funds, this required accurate feedback and reviews, each of those reports was returned to the funders for their records. The programme will be continued as additional funding is secured to benefit the growing number of women seeking flexible work to fit with caring responsibilities. Itsherstory.cic is also developing further programmes, events and works shops to support women in the community impacted by the pandemic and subject to increased barriers to racial and physical inclusivity.
