In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Community Objectives has taken on great networks to support its growth within its community, especially within the Warrington area. The organisation has been able to work predominantly with local providers, community groups and individuals to collaborate and create opportunities for them to impact the town wide offer by local cultural leaders such as Culture Warrington and Warrington Borough Council. This year our work has included a lot of creative consultation activity to support our goals of informing best practice within our community and allowed us to play a strong role on the delivery of 3 large scale events throughout the year. We have been able to offer such events at free, or low-cost means allowing us to increase accessibility and reduce the barriers for those within the more deprived wards of Warrington. We have introduced a Youth Worker outreach role to engage with young people in a way that inspires them to become community leaders and have to date deliver weekly sessions, 5 community fund raisers, and delivered a number of projects they have lead the design, delivery and reflection on working with older people in their local area. Our community, through our work, have been able to gain access to more cultural and arts provisions for free or low cost. They have stated they feel better connected to people and services that are close to them, and have demonstrated learning throughout in heritage, self-development, and upskilling in employment, financial, and artistic skills through the dynamic programme of opportunities we have offered.
Throughout our work we embed multiple contact points in each project delivery to ensure that our work is continuous in collecting consultation and encouraging the communities we work with are the guiding force behind our organisations direction. Our consultation is delivered in creative manners and examples used this year are wish fish, observations, workshop games, and video testimonial collections. Our work is directed through our ongoing relationship with multiple key partners within each community which act as our ‘community specialists’. These are people who are working/living/enjoying life in the communities consistently and we seek guidance, reflections and feedback on the work before, during and after our delivery. Ways that we aim to develop our approach moving forward are to utilise young peoples voices and ensure that young people are guiding our work through the Youth provision we have developed and will work to support and grow over the next 12 months.
