Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 August 2023 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

Company activities and impact

South East Psychology CIC provides educational psychology services to schools and academies. We are an alternative to purchasing services from the local authority. In the 2022-23 financial year we:Provided educational psychology service level agreements to 26 schools/ academies across Newham, Lewisham, Bromley, Bexley and Kent local authorities.Significantly increased our provision of ELSA training and supervision with 36 new ELSAs trained.We have benefitted the local community by:Providing access to educational psychology services in a climate where mental health difficulties in children and young people are increasing but local authorities have extremely limited capacity to provide support beyond basic statutory duties.Providing services at a very competitive rate- meaning that schools do not need to commission support via agencies.Providing continuity of relationships when this is often not possible in local authority services due to the dependency on short term locums.Offering a free conference for all ELSAs trained by South East Psychology.Collaborated to offer highly subsidised training on the PELICAN (Promoting Emotional Literacy in Children with Additional Needs) framework.All services were delivered face to face in the 2022-23 academic year, despite many local authority educational psychology services continuing to deliver services remotely.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are the clients who commission our services- schools and parents/ carers. They are consulted annually by asking for an evaluation of the service and inviting improvement suggestions. In the 2022-23 survey:100% of respondents rated the quality of our service as above average or excellent.100% of respondents rated the reliability of our service as excellent.90% of respondents rated the value for money of our service as excellent.100% of respondents were very satisfied (90%) or satisfied (10%) with the outcomes of our involvement.100% of respondents reported that parents/ carers were very satisfied (90%) or satisfied (10%) with the outcomes of our involvement.

Directors' remuneration

The director received a salary of £51062 (to end April 2023). No dividend was voted for the 2022-23 year as the company made a small loss.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
