The company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 for the year ended 31 August 2023.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2023 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The director acknowledges his responsibilities for:
(a)ensuring that the company keeps accounting records which comply with Sections 386 and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
(b)preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of each financial year and of its profit or loss for each financial year in accordance with the requirements of Sections 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial statements, so far as applicable to the company.

The financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

In accordance with Section 444 of the Companies Act 2006, the Income Statement has not been delivered.

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Brompton Road (231) Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

The Company's principal activity is disclosed in the Director's Report on page 2 and the Company is non-profit making. Any surplus is retained in the company for the purposes of the business.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" of Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Companies Act 2006. There were no material departures from that standard. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Turnover
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

3. EMPLOYEES AND DIRECTORS

The average number of employees during the year was NIL (2022 - NIL).

6. OFF-BALANCE SHEET ARRANGEMENTS

On 10 December 2004 the Company purchased a 999 year lease (expiring on 9 December 3003) for properties at 231 Brompton Road and 71 Egerton Gardens comprising three residential apartments and a commercial premises.

In December 2004 the Company granted a lease to MML Inc. Limited, a company controlled by Mrs M Lebbe and Mr D Lebbe, expiring on 8 December 3003). In February 2005 the Company granted leases on the three residential properties, expiring on 5 December 3003. The consideration for each lease was £1. At the end of the leases the economic value returns to the Company.

The Director takes the view that the economic value resides in the leases granted by the Company until December 3003 and thus no value is shown in the Company's accounts.

7. RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES

In 2004 a lease was granted by the Company to MML Inc. Limited, a company controlled by Mrs M Lebbe and Mr D Lebbe. See Note 7.

Mrs M Lebbe is one of the residents of the property managed by the Company. Mrs M Lebbe was charged service charges at the market rate of £4,356 (2022: £3,516). In addition, Mrs M Lebbe was charged £900 (2022: £900) for accountancy services incurred by the company.

MML Inc. Limited, a company controlled by Mrs M Lebbe and Mr D Lebbe, is one of the residents of the property managed by the Company. MML Inc. Limited was charged service charges at the market rate of £3,581 (2022: £2,462).
