Company activities and impact

The company's therapeutic work continued to focus on mental health issues. The regular Therapeutic Art Group and sessions in collaboration with Brighton and Hove fostering and adoption services went back to in-person delivery and we ran sessions with a pupil referral unit, too. We ran some Brighton Puppetry School classes (offering affordable and high quality vocational training). We resumed the tour of our show Little Monster that was interrupted by Covid, and did a Christmas tour of The Gift. We also worked with The Bright Foundation delivering performances and workshops for children.

Consultation with stakeholders

We worked closely with our partners in the NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, and Brighton and Hove Social Services, to guide the development and support the delivery of our projects. Other stakeholders and the local puppetry community of artists, puppetry students of all ages, theatres (we again worked particularly closely this year with Z-arts in Manchester) and the national and international puppetry organisations.
