Aurora Family CIC provide education support to young people in the Reading Community who are struggling in mainstream school settings. Aurora Family CIC operate over three sites a farm, The Hub and a local church hall. Young people attended sessions for a variety ofreasons including struggling with attending school, being excluded from school and having additional needs which could not be met by their mainstream school provision.Aurora Family CIC also provide a variety of community activities including a choir group, space for a local martial arts group to use and a community cafe which serves the local community and provides a safe space for individuals to meet each other and network with others in the community.
Our stakeholders are the community of East Reading and we regularly consult through our social media regarding what they would like to see happen at the spaces.Our other stakeholders are the services that commission us to work with young people, we are continuously conversing with them about our offer and diversifying to suit the needs of the young people who are referred to us.
