In order to assist you to fulfil your duties under the Companies Act 2006, we have prepared for your approval the financial statements of Small Acre Developments Limited for the year ended 31 July 2023, which comprise the statement of financial position and the related notes from the company's accounting records and from information and explanations you have given us. As a practising member firm of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at www.accaglobal.com/en/member/professional-standards/rules-standards/acca-rulebook.html. This report is made solely to the Board of Directors of Small Acre Developments Limited, as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter dated 7 March 2017. These financial statements have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies' regime and in accordance with Section 1A of FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland'.
In accordance with section 444 of the Companies Act 2006, the statement of income and retained earnings has not been delivered.
For the year ending 31 July 2023 the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.
Directors' responsibilities:
- The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year in question in accordance with section 476 ;
- The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of financial statements .

1. General information
The company is a private company limited by shares, registered in England and Wales. The address of the registered office is Old Mill Cottage, Chapmans Town Road, Rushlake Green, Heathfield, East Sussex, TN21 9PS.
2. Statement of compliance
These financial statements have been prepared in compliance with Section 1A of FRS 102, 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and the Republic of Ireland'.
3. Accounting policies
Basis of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis, as modified by the revaluation of certain financial assets and liabilities measured at fair value through profit or loss.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which is the functional currency of the entity.
Going concern
The Directors confirms they will support the Company for the next 12 months and the accounts have therefore been completed on a going concern basis.
Corporation tax
The taxation expense represents the amount of current corporation tax due in the reporting period.
Tangible assets
Tangible assets are initially recorded at cost, and subsequently stated at cost less any accumulated depreciation.
Depreciation
Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost or valuation of an asset, less its residual value, over the useful economic life of that asset as follows:

9. Related party transactions
J C Miller , S J Nicholls and Mrs H E Nicholls (Directors) all had shareholdings in the company during the period. There is no single majority shareholder. Small Acre Developments Ltd have provided an interest free loan to Traframe Ltd, where S J Nicholls is the Director and majority shareholder. The balance due at 31 July 2023 is £329,658 (2022: £337,288).
