Company activities and impact

Pash community runs no business actually. We offer educational, health, employment, social and integration support for the Swahili speaking community living in Sheffield. During the financial year 202-2023, We have been helping people in the following activities. Educational Support:To ensure that our children are well-prepared for life by providing them with the necessary skills.Helping children in our community with homework and other issues their parents cannot do due tolanguage barriers.Assist parents who are having trouble obtaining school information for their children.Organise literacy classes for those who can’t read and write as a way to open doors to Englishlessons and paths to those who want higher education and apprenticeships.Health Support:To assist people with language barriers when they visit doctors, as the majority cannot expresstheir illnesses to their General Practitioners and struggle to understand interpreters from othernations.Educate our community on the importance of family planning and the advantages of having fewchildren.Social Guidance and Integration:To offer social assistance such as reading letters and applying for various services, such asuniversal credit, child benefits, etc.To organise activities that involve taking our children to visit places such as oceans, seas,museums, and other essential places.To Improve our children’s talents in various ways by orienting them to relevant places wherebytheir abilities can be improved.Employment Support:To encourage people to look for jobs by showing them how to use job search engines and otherlegal ways that can be used and offer support to those who want to become self-employed orstart their own business.Help to Preserve our Culture:To remind our children of our heritage by teaching them our culture and respect for other people’sculture.To promote our mother tongue (Swahili), traditional food, songs, and dances, and show ourchildren the historical heritage of this country.
