The company has provided ongoing classes, children’s classes, performances and workshops in the art of Capoeira Angola. The company has supported the artistic development of the key teachers in the group, through supported travel and workshop expenses, and has continued to enrich the group’s development by organising masterclass workshops. The organisation has developed audience through performance and workshop activities. In particular this year has seen several masterclass workshops including the group’s master and the UK’s first female master, a wider age range at children’s classes and an increase in children’s attendance at monthly meets. The company has started regular beginner-level classes at a new venue, bringing in new students and raising the profile of the art.
Stakeholders are consulted regularly at the group’s regular classes as well as the monthly meetings in “Check-Outs” held at the end of classes. The key teachers meet semi-regularly to steer the group’s direction according to feedback and observation at classes and monthly meets. An AGM is held at the end of the financial year.
