During 2022/23, The VisionBridge network of professional and patient advocates has continued to contribute press articles, provide Reports and deliver Talks to societies, clubs and social networks, eye health professionals and healthcare professionals, voluntary sector organisations and stakeholders in the provision of eye health and eye care. VisionBridge continues to raise awareness of sight loss and eye research based in the UK. VisionBridge has also supported a range of conferences, exhibitions and workshops, highlighting the extraordinary advances in eye research from cell biology and basic research to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
VisionBridge has worked closely with charity partners and is supported by a range of stakeholder organisations such as the Association for Independent Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians, Association of Optometrists, Women's Institute (WI), Organisers of annual trade events (e.g. 100% Optical - London and Eyecare - Glasgow), social networks (e.g. cafe scientifiques, Lions clubs) ophthalmological and optometric suppliers, schools and voluntary sector organisations (e.g Thomas Pocklington Trust, Visionary and Birmingham Vision).
