The company runs a croquet club. This operates from the Duncton Village Hall site (thereby supporting the Hall financially) and has a membership drawn from a wide local geographic area. The company is open to all in the area to participate in the sport of croquet, which is accessible by both able-bodied members and those who are older or with some disability. It helps with fitness and friendship, particularly to members who are otherwise on their own. The company advertises membership widely and regularly and provides coaching and other support to new members. It is the only such club in the immediate area. Currently the club has 75 members.Maintenance of the Company lawns and facilities provides employment in a number of areas to local workmen.
The company’s stakeholders are the club members and their families and the Village Hall committee. Club members are regularly asked for their feedback on club activities, both informally during open play sessions and more formally at the AGM. A suggestion scheme is operated. The company directors are at the club very regularly to talk to stakeholders and get their feedback.
