Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 July 2023 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

These accounts have been prepared and delivered in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen not to file a copy of the company's profit and loss account.

Company activities and impact

The Adam Bojelian Foundation CIC (AdsFoundation) provides education and training to health and social care professionals and organisations in health care law, ethics, and communication.AdsFoundation does this by working directly with health and social care organisations; by creating free to use on-line educational and training resources for health and social care professionals and organisations including quarterly healthcare law and ethic update; by organising the annual Adam Bojelian memorial talk; and by providing a one-stop point of access to online third-party healthcare law and ethics resources.These activities provide the following community benefits.- Raise awareness of healthcare law and ethics amongst health and social care professionals and the wider public.- Explain healthcare law and ethics in an accessible and easy to access way.- Improve health and social care professionals and the wider public’s understanding of healthcare law and ethics.- Provides a single point of access for healthcare law and ethics resources.- Help overcome health and social are profe4ssionals fear of law and regulation, reducing the stresses on health professionals.- Provide education and teaching to individuals and organisations from an experienced legal expert in healthcare law and ethics.- Helps ensure patients and service users received legal and ethical treatment and care.AdsFoundation also undertakes additional activities to help promote health and social care staff and patient and service user well-being. There include, hosting the #WeEatWell challenge on social media throughout November encouraging and promoting healthy eating among health professionals and others; hosing a free to access healthcare law advice clinic, as part of the law works network; providing speaker to talk on matters of healthcare law for third party voluntary sector organisations; and donating books for distribution to children in hospital through Read for Good Registered Charity no: 06895421.These activities have the following community benefits:- #WeEatWell has supported health professional and others to develop healthier eating habits which has contributed to their well-being and longer-term health and helps reduce demands on the NHS by helping maintain optimum health.- The free legal clinic provides initial expert legal advice to those who otherwise would not have access to this advice and signpost inquiries to third party organisations when more in depth support is needed, this ensures patients and carers are aware of their legal rights and also helps prevent inappropriate legal action saving patients, carers and health services time and finance.- Contributing to third party events educating health professional on matters of healthcare law has widened access for health professional to expert legal education.- The Book donations have increased children in hospitals access to books, heling to keep them entertained and educated whilst in hospital, AdsFoundation has chosen book of particular interest to marginalised groups of children.

Consultation with stakeholders

AdsFoundation’s stakeholders are health and social care professionals and those using their services. We have a stakeholder expert advisory group made up of a range of health care professionals and experts by experience. Their details are provided on the AdsFoundation website. The expert group are sent a quarterly update on all activities and invited to comment on those activities and to suggest additional activities the Foundation can undertake.AdsFoundation also has a statement on each page of our website welcoming feedback and suggestions from those visiting the website. We also share new resources on social media and always invite feedback and suggestion whenever we do so.When working directly with health organisations, we work in partnership with their staff, encouraging the codesign of training programmes and inviting regular feedback.
