  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    The company has no income or expenditure in its own right, all transactions in the year relate to relate to the maintenance of the common parts of the property in accordance with the lease. Income and expenditure arising from these transactions is shown in a separate service charge account for the property that do not form part of the annual accounts of the company and are not filed at Companies House. All service charge monies received from the leaseholders of 47 Dalberg Road SW2 1AJ are held on behalf of the leaseholders.

    Other accounting policies

    Reserved funds on behalf of tenants Any cash balances arising from tenants' service charges are held by the company of the tenants of the property. In preparing these financial statement, the monies received and due are recorded as an asset of the company as the company has the ability to deploy service charge funds in its capacity of managing the property on behalf of the tenants. Therefore, the company has day to day control of any such balances, and is exposed to the risk and rewards with the underlying transactions, despite legal ownership of the balances being with the tenants.
