Empathy North West CIC was formed in 2012 and had continued with the ethos of providing a quality and therapeutic service at the point of need. We offer creative art therapy to vulnerable young people and adults. We provide a counselling and creative therapy service to several schools in the Wigan area and aim to offer services at the crucial point so that our waiting list is kept to a minimum.
The stakeholders are residents of the Wigan area, local schools, health centres and GP patients. The directors live in the community and have a good working relationship with other agencies in and around the area and with the local Council. Other agencies can refer clients to us if they wish. We monitor the results guided by our professional awarding body BACP. Once clients have completed their therapy an evaluation form is sent to the referrer as well as the client. We have seen hundreds of patients from age of 3 through adulthood. We listen to all our clients and organisations in regard to how we can improve the service and where applicable have made minor changes including allowing clients to self-refer. We adapt our service and offer based on the needs presenting in the local area.
No remuneration was received
